Joshua Long

Songwriter, Producer, Christian Artist, Pianist, Guitarist, Worship Leader

Joshua Long is a musician, advocate, and faith leader whose work bridges creativity, spirituality, and environmental justice. An award-winning songwriter, producer, and worship leader, he crafts music that stirs the soul and inspires people to take action. He holds a bachelors in music performance from the University of the arts. He is also a graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary and has received the Public Theology Excellence Award upon graduating in 2023.
 

Joshua served as Director of music ensembles at the Unitarian Universalist church of Annapolis from 2015 to 2024. He is now serving as Congregational Organizer for Interfaith Power & Light (DC, MD, NoVA), Joshua mobilizes faith communities in the movement for climate justice.  His leadership has been nationally recognized by Young, Gifted, and Green, which named him among their 2023 40 Under 40 awardees.
 

In 2024, he released his environmental gospel album, “We Are Earth,” which weaves together themes of hope, resilience, and sacred stewardship. Through music and faith-based environmental advocacy, 

Joshua continues to inspire people and congregations to live a better way and create a more just and equitable planet for all living things. He lives in Baltimore with his wife Tabitha, their two sons Elijah & Nathaniel, and cat Calypso
